water market decision announcements

Water markets decisions are specific types of decisions that relate to actions taken or planned by Commonwealth agencies, Basin State agencies and private and public irrigation infrastructure operators. The obligations are set out in the Water Amendment (Water Markets Decisions) Regulations 2026 prepared by the Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water (DCCEEW) and added to the Federal Register on 24 March 2026. The obligations commenced on 1 July 2026.
