CICL Membership of EWON

The NSW Government and the Energy and Water Ombudsman NSW (EWON) yesterday announced CICL, along with the other four NSW Irrigation Corporations, will become members of EWON from 1 July 2026.  

This is the first step in the NSW Government’s Regulatory Improvement Program which will lead to changes in our Operating Licence and the government introducing new annual licence fees.  

Membership of EWON will provide our customers with access to EWON’s free, fair, and independent dispute resolution process.

Delivering a customer-focused, resilient and reliable service is always CICL’s priority. EWON will now be the mandated option for escalation ONLY in cases where CICL is unable to resolve a customer’s complaint; this may relate to service, billing, connection, and land access issues.
