Carryover into 2010/2011
While the water sharing plan remains suspended, carryover rules in the Murrumbidgee Valley will remain as they did in 2008/09. High and General security and Conveyance licences will be allowed to carryover up to 30 % of their entitlement.
NOTE: In 2010/11, allocation plus carryover, will be limited to 95% for HS and 100% for GS of entitlement unless additional water is purchased in during that year. For example:
-
GS - if you carryover the maximum of 30% of your entitlement, when the announced allocation exceeds 70%, you will begin to loose carryover.
-
HS - if you carryover the maximum of 30% of your entitlement, when the announced allocation exceeds 65%, you will begin to loose carryover.
Need More Water?
Temporary water trading within the Murrumbidgee Valley is now OPEN Trading OUTSIDE the Murrumbidgee Valley is CLOSED
An important exception to these arrangements is for those users who participated in the 2002/2003 Snowy Hydro borrowing arrangements. Water re-credited in 2007/2008 from that which was suspended in 2006, may not be traded until the water borrowed from Snowy Hydro has been repaid.
